184 – Day 131: Marie, Student (Muir Lake School)

cc licensed ( BY ) flickr photo shared by brendahallowesIn grade four I have learned how to build great relationships.  I use the seven habits in leader in me to remind me what to do.  To make new friends at school I play with them at recess or in gym.  At the very beginning of the school year I had to get used to Mrs. Daub’s rules because they are different than last year’s rules.  I have also learned how to be responsible and independent.  I do my weekly jobs at school, I practice leader in me, and I figure out what to do on my own.  In fourth grade I am learning how to be a better learner.  I can solve problems and find answers on my own.  I know that practice helps me get better.  Mrs. Daub is teaching us different strategies to use in math and science and lots of other different subjects.  In Mrs. Daub’s class we are learning how to use technology.  There are a couple new things, like Glogster were we make online posters, our Blog and Edmodo were we can talk with our class mates.  I learned how to type faster and use a couple fingers.  The last thing that I learned in technology is different ways to use Smartboard notebook.  Our class is learning a one new subject this year.  It is French and also my favorite.  I have learned lots of new words.  In social studies we are researching lots of information and doing reports.  Mrs. Daub thinks we are getting new knowledge.  Math is a lot harder in grade four but we are learning new strategies to help us.  In science we are working in groups very often and doing experiments together.  That is what I have learned in the first 100 days of school!!

Marie is a grade four student at Muir Lake School.

    I am very proud of all of the wonderful things that you have learned to do in grade four. Not only are you becoming a great problem solver, you are becoming a creative and critical thinker.
