The book “The Soldier Who Wouldn’t Kill” is about these two brothers, Ben and Robert. Ben and Robert signed up to become drummers in New York’s seventh infantry. The assignment was to finish the ending of “The Soldier Who Wouldn’t Kill”. I couldn’t wait to get started.
Google docs helped me because I got to distribute ideas with my friends and they could ask me questions about my work. It was easier to do this because if I used paper and pencil it would take a lot longer to share my ideas, but with Google docs all I needed to do was press share. Then I could share it with any of my friends and classmates. Also you can go onto other people’s endings of the story or any work they have shared with you. They can comment on your ending and so can you. You can tell them what they did good on the story or what they need to improve. They will do that for yours as well. It was fun to work together and use technology and do all this with Google docs.
To make my story a little better I could use more detail in my writing. Also I could have used more of the 5 W’s: who, what, when, where, why and how. I could say more about the movements of Ben and his fellow soldiers. Next time when I write another story I would focus more on details.
Rebecca is a grade 5 student at Muir Lake School. Her class nickname is “yellow card” derived from her passion for soccer and her blonde hair. She has one brother and one sister and her favorite subject is math. Her favorite place to visit is Mexico and Christmas is far and away her favorite holiday.

I like your reflection on your writing. Adding those details is tough work, isn’t it? Using the W questions helps. I also like google docs for my kids too. They are sharing work and getting more ideas. Keep the good work up!
