With some assistance, this grade three student brought his culture to life, while making curricular connections to measurement and shapes, in the classroom by constructing a Wigwam out of 2X4′s , construction paper, paint, and of course the perseverance needed to complete it! The interior was designed solely on his own, equipped with home made art work, pillows and blankets. The Wigwam became the talk of the grade two and threes when he proudly showed off his accomplishment!

You did a wonderful job on your Wigwam. I’m so proud of you and all your accomplishments this year.
You blew me away when you said you made this fabulous wigwam in only 2 hours. I love the painting that you did on the outside of it. It is so colourful. You should be very proud of yourself.
