We both helped raise money for Free the Children’s campaign “We Walk For Water” which was inspired by Spencer West. We raised money by making a necklace out of small washers and some nail polish. We painted the washers with the nail polish and took ribbon and paper clips to fasten them. Slowly we made some money by but we also have bigger plans for the future like selling bird houses but we haven’t gotten that far. We sold the washer necklaces up at Cassidys house at a bench. Every Tuesday and Thursday there was an event called Pony Club.
Lots of people came those days so we thought that if we get ready we could sell what we made. Sure enough we did! We made around 85 dollars in total. Two people gave us a big head start and we would like to thank Kate and Jason for giving us 20 dollars each. It helped us lots!
We are very grateful that there are such good people out there. After the “We Walk For Water” was done we gave all the money to our teacher and secretary. So we would like to thank Mrs. Hollman and Mrs. Farough for doing that and saying good job every time we brought in money! This was all our idea and we did this on our own.
After we saw Spencer West at We Day last fall, we were both really inspired. So that’s what started it all. Thanks Spencer West!!! We both think you are a really great person. Athena and I found this fundraising to be really fun. We also want to thank our little sisters for getting customers to come over to our stand and help us get people’s attention. Finally we would like to give a big thanks to Missy our horse Mascot!
Thank you! We hope you enjoyed this and we hope you were inspired.
Our names are Athena and Cassidy. We go to Keephills School and we love to ride horses.
