Over the course of the 2015-2016 school year, PSD Grades 6-12 French Immersion teachers and students have been engaged in year three of our 5-year project, We Integrate Language Development And Critical Thinking (WILDACT). The project is funded by a federal Official Languages in Educational Programs grant.
WILDACT has two main outcomes: increased student engagement (through critical thinking and assessment as learning) and increased French language acquisition. These two outcomes are interrelated in supporting student achievement in French Immersion classrooms.
