Grade 3 had a great time today celebrating Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday! Everyone was eager to hear the ending of his book “The Twits” and were delighted to find out the Mr. and Mrs. Twit vanished into thin air. We also enjoyed some birthday cake and enjoyed selecting some Roald Dahl books for reading!
Our class connected with another author/illustrator today – Peter Reynolds, author of “The Dot”. It was an enjoyable and inspiring experience. Look for our blog post about it tomorrow! We are excited and looking forward to International Dot Day on Thursday. Students are welcome to wear their dot clothes to school (and we’ll have some extra dots on hand as well) on Thursday.
Today was also the very first Choir practice at Prescott! Mrs. Marchand was thrilled to have so many Grade 3’s join her at lunch recess. Those students have a note sent home with further information.
Students are bringing home an information flyer today about ADmazing Ticket Pack (formerly SUTP books). We are not asking students to go door to door selling these as they are simply being sold from the office. Students are welcome to bring money into the office where our secretaries will be happy to give them the books. The money raised will go toward the starting of our student leadership team here at Prescott.
