As part of the work of Parkland School Division’s Wellness Initiative and thanks to the TD Friends of the Environment grants, we are hoping to find ways to reduce our carbon footprint, expose our students and larger community to a concept of abundant communities including living walls, closed ecosystems and solar powered innovations. We are dedicated to educating ourselves in how to design communities in a carbon constrained world.
This video features students at Greystone Centennial Middle School in Spruce Grove learning about ecosystems and growing in the classroom. Check out the earth boxes and worm tea!
Thanks to video producer/cinematographer Jason Gondziola.
