Recently, in our Science class, I divided my students up into 4 groups and ran centres. Drawing circuits was one of them. After a short explanation and quick examination of the materials in front of them, the students were given the freedom to explore and create using the kits in front of them. After that, the kids took over. What was amazing to me was watching the first group try to problem solve and give clues, hints and guidance to the next group when it was time to switch. Then the second group would call the first group back to see the new progress.
