Here’s the letter to the Mayor:
The grade 5 students are doing an air quality project. Inside education came and talked to us about C.A.R.S.( Clean Air Responsible Schools.) We were hoping to plant about 20 trees around Stony Plain to help with our communities air quality. We would like to plant about 5 of those trees on our school grounds. We would like to know if that is possible. We are also emailing the mayor for his permission to plant the trees around Stony Plain.
We have also created 4 announcements about our project to be shared during morning announcements from April 24 to the 27. We also have a group doing a powerpoint presentation and they will be sharing the information with other classes at the end of April.
We know that you are very busy these days but would really appreciate some feedback about our project ASAP so that we can make any changes that are needed and move ahead with the rest of the planning.
Sincerely yours,
the Grade 5 C.A.R.S group
Mme Laurin and Mlle Eddie (teacher coordinators)
