The M.O.O.S.E Project

Meet Milly the Millgrove Moose and her best friend Albert the Adventurer.

They are the main characters in our M.O.O.S.E Project.

This year, we have had several (live) moose sightings by students and teachers.  Ms. Graham’s encounter with a young moose even made the front page of the paper! When we decided to learn about the regions of Alberta through some travelling stuffed friends we knew they had to be moose.

Since Albert has an adventurous nature, he has chosen to travel around the regions of Alberta and share what he learns through letters and photos on our class blog.  He is excited about making lots of new friends and meeting people.

Although Milly is a homebody, she enjoys meeting people too.  She’s excited about learning more about the Parkland region of Alberta and spending time with the families and friends of our 4GH students.  She knows she will have lots to share in her letters to Albert.

We would love for you to be part of our project too.  If you are in Albert’s vicinity and able to give him a friendly home for a day or two, take a few pictures to share on our blog and send them with a brief message and information about your Alberta region back to Mrs. Holden at kholden@psd70.ab.ca,  please let us know! You can also check out our tweets from @millgrove4gh and use #mgmoose to follow their adventures.

Check out their travels on the map below.  For updates on their trips, and to see their letters, click on our Home page and search M.O.O.S.E.
