Our last visit to the Tri-Leisure will be on Friday December 2nd. We will be flying through the air at Aerials Gymnastics Centre first, followed by skating at the Tri-Leisure. If you are available to meet us at the Tri-Leisure and help tie skates it would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know ASAP if you are available so I can plan accordingly.
Again this year, our school is sponsoring families through the Kinsmen Club of Stony Plain Christmas Hamper program. This is the 38th year that the Hamper Program has helped those that are less fortunate in Stony Plain and Parkland County. Last year close to 450 families (over 1500 people) were supplied with food, toys and gift cards for much needed necessities. Each grade level in the school has been assigned a family. It is our hope that we will be able to make Christmas a happier time for these families through our community’s generosity. Suggested items to donate are non-perishable food items, such as canned goods, pasta, hot chocolate or hot cider mix, etc. or small gift items like children’s books or stuffed animals. Items donated should not be wrapped and should be in to the school before Friday, December 9th.
The grade three classes are assigned family #4
1 adult female and 1 adult male
2 girls, ages 1 and 8
1 boy age 3
I apologize for the lateness of this, but if you could have your child complete the attached interview sheet it would be greatly appreciated. There are just four questions for them to ask an adult family member or friend. We will have a presenter from Junior Achievement on Monday and will be looking at needs, jobs, and tools in our community. The answers can be written on a piece of lined paper. Thank you!
It’s that time again! We will be playing games on the indoor field and swimming at the Tri-Leisure Centre on Friday. Please make sure your child brings a swimsuit, towel and change for the lockers. If you are available to volunteer please let me know ASAP so I can plan accordingly.
Thanks in advance!
