Roger Dallaire

The whole school enjoyed the Roger Dallaire performance on Thursday. Here’s a collection of writing from 4H:
Do you know how to make lots of friends? Well, watch Roger Dallaire! He is a very talented French person from St. Paul, Alberta. He has been making music all his life. He told us a story of a man that was so in love he gave away his soul for the girl, and showed us marionettes.
Today Roger Dallaire taught us how to play a musical instrument called the spoons. We learned that this was what the old fashioned people did. We got to play the spoons (they are made out of wood) in front of the whole school. I was nervous when I went up, but I faced my fear. It was kind of scary doing it in front of all those faces and bright lights! But it was fun!
He also taught me and all of the school that everyone is special in their very own way, and that everyone needs a friend. It is true that happiness makes it better.
