We Are Silent

Around the World, there are those whose voices are not heard. They are the girls who are denied an education because of gender inequality, school fees or the need to stay home and care for younger siblings. They are the child labourers or the children growing up in poverty. They are the students who are bullied in schools across Canada.

Everyone of them has a voice that needs to be heard. Muir Lake is taking a silent stand so they can speak out.

On April 17, Students at Muir Lake are signing up and taking pledges. They are taking a 24 hour vow of silence in support of those around the world whose needs are not heard.

This will be our second year participating in this great cause. Last year we had 31 participants who raised $2245.00. Excited to see what we can do this year.

Students still wanting to join up need to speak to Mrs. Matsuba. More information can be found at www.freethechildren.com
