The Muir Lake Community School Foundation is a sub group of the Muir Lake School Council and was founded to take on the reconstruction of the outside grounds of the school. In years past the Foundation spent MANY hours fundraising and applying for grants and was able to build our beautiful playground and more recently the running track, the soccer pitch in the center of the track, and the long jump pits. With all that being said, the Foundation still needs your help. We are looking for people that are willing to step up and volunteer their time to work on the MLCS Foundation. Each year at a School Council meeting elections are held for the Foundation. All positions become available even though some of our volunteers stay on from year to year – we are looking for new people with new ideas of how to get the job done.
So . . . if you have a little extra time and you would like to help with the School Foundation, there will be an information meeting for the School Foundation at 6:15 on Monday March 9th, but the voting will take place at the School Council Meeting at 7 pm. If you are not able to make it but would still like to help out or perhaps you would just like some more information, please email Joanne at firstname.lastname@example.org Thank you!
