Perogy Fundraiser Update!

Unfortunately “Gourmet Perogies” is UNABLE to ship our order of perogies, however another supplier has come through with most of the order. The dilemma is with the flavours, not all flavours that were originally offered are available from the new supplier.

Cheemo will supply us with boxes of 180 perogies rather than 100 for the same price.  The flavours that they ARE able to supply us with are as follows:

  • potato & cheddar
  • potato & onion
  • potato & cottage cheese
  • potato, bacon, & ramano cheese
  • pizza
  • blueberry dessert

The flavours that are NOT available that were originally on the fundraiser order form are as follows:

  • potato & sauerkraut
  • parmesan
  • sundried tomato
  • strawberry &  saskatoon

SO . . . .  if you ordered any of these 4 flavours that are no longer available, please contact Maureena Goerz at ASAP to make arrangements for replacement flavours.

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused, but the orders WILL be here on Friday December 11th and will be available for pick up from the school between 1 and 3 p.m.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact Maureena directly at

Christmas Buddy Group Activity

On Friday, December 11 students will be “buddied” up with students from another class. Similar to our Family Group activities from previous years. Students will be participating in a Christmas activity and then enjoy a Christmas treat together. This is a great way to build Christmas and community spirit. To make this activity better and to help keep costs down. We are asking families to donate items if they are able. We are in need of the following items:

*hot chocolate mix
*bags of mini marshmallows
*small ziploc bags
*Christmas Craft material (new or any leftover items you may have)
-festive string
-Christmas fun foam shapes
-mini hot glue gun sticks
-pine cones
-pom poms
-pipe cleaners
-any festive/Christmas materials that you may have or see

Donations can be dropped off at Mrs. Matsuba’s room or at the office. Thank you, in advance, for your support.

On December 11, students should bring a non-breakable “to-go” mug that they can use to enjoy some hot chocolate. We would really like to keep styrofoam cups out of our garbages. Let’t keep it green, folks!

CASA Caregiver Village Website

Casa logo

This is posted on behalf of CASA:

CASA has designed the CASA Caregiver Village website and downloadable app. This web-based parenting resource focuses on the mental health of children aged 0-18 by offering hundreds of evidenced-based strategies easily accessible on line. Many of the strategies come with downloadable tools that have been proven to be helpful for parents and caregivers who struggle to manage their children’s challenging behaviours.

The site educates visitors about children’s mental health, while reaching out to parents and caregivers to normalize their experience. In their own words parents talk about their fears, worries, and ultimately their success on the journey to mental wellness. Interactive tools, such as videos, worksheets, visual imagery, articles and additional links help parents cope. For more info please visit the CASA website at or
