Rafiki Fundraiser for Free the Children

Did you know that rafiki means “friend”? Well you can now buy some friendship bracelets at our school. The We Care team is selling rafiki bracelets to raise money for the Free the Children Foundation. The women who make these rafiki bracelets are the Kenyan Mamas, they do this to get money to support themselves and their families(sustainable income). 50% of the money is given to the Kenyan mamas who make them and their family, and the other 50% goes to Free the Children Foundation. Free the children then uses that portion of the funds to provide food, education, water, sustainable income projects and health care to children in many countries around the world. Each rafiki Bracelet will only cost 10$ and will be sold at the Muir Lake School Book Fair on February 6th to February 7th. The more bracelets sold, the more money is donated. These are truly cool bracelets.
