MLSC Foundation Meeting

Muir Lake Community School Foundation AGM
Tuesday May 15th @ 7pm at the School

If you are interested in volunteering or learning more about the foundation we would love to see you Tuesday May 15th. We are in need of directors to join our executive. our other executive positions are in the 2nd year of their term and will be staying on. If you have any questions please contact us via e-mail at muirlakefoundation@gmail.com

A bit about the MLCS Foundation

The Muir Lake School has provided our rural neighborhood with a community focus for over 30 years.  Our school building has been continually modernized and expanded to meet the increasing enrollment of the growing Community.

In 2000, the Muir Lake Community School Foundation (MLCSF) was formed and has since undertaken a needs assessment of the school children and local Community.  MLCSF developed a Master Plan that was broken down into phases and the following projects have been accomplished

  1. Junior playground to the northwest of the school
  2. South and west drainage
  3. Soccer pitch
  4. Track area
  5. Sliding hill

Since its inception the MLCSF has raised money via various fundraisers and matching government grants and with the continuing dedication of our volunteers and corporate donations we have been able to improve our school grounds to include a dynamic $125,000 playground area and a quarter of a million dollar rubberized running track, and soccer pitch.

We are proud to announce that the MLCS Foundation and the Muir Lake School Council have joined together to oversee the fundraising efforts of the school as a whole.

If you or someone that you know is interested in helping out or should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school at 780-963-3535 OR e-mail muirlakefoundation@gmail.com
