Strong Families Series: The Art of Co-Parenting

Date: Tuesday, March 19, 2019
Time: 6-7:30pm
Location: Parkland School Division Centre For Education Board Room (4603 48th Street, Stony Plain)

Presented by Ali Wilks, certified stepfamily coach from Step by Step Mom

Going through a separation or divorce is never easy, and things become even more complicated when children are caught up in the mix. In these situations, ex-partners must set aside their differences and maintain good communication and civility for the sake of their children – which is often easier said than done.

In this session, parents and guardians will have the opportunity to learn useful strategies and develop their skillset for co-parenting: keeping an open dialogue, establishing a consistent set of household rules, maintaining a positive attitude and recognizing boundaries. Mastering these skills will help ex-partners ensure that the burdens of divorce and separation are not shouldered by their children, and that these children are able to grow up in a harmonious and balanced situation.

A light supper will be provided. Limited childcare is available.

Space is limited, so please register early to reserve your spot.
