Grade 4 to 6 Track Meet

On Tuesday, May 16 Muir Lake School will be holding our grade 4 to 6 Track Meet. It will start around 8:30 and end at 12:30. Rain-out day has been set for Wednesday May 17th.

We are trying something a little new. We will be having an outdoor concession for the WHOLE school. Parents have volunteered to do this and we would like the whole school to enjoy this treat. Junior high students will have access to the concession at lunch recess. Concession items include the following:

  • hot dog $2
  • drinks $1
  • chips $1
  • popcorn $2
  • candy bag $1

Thank you to our parent volunteers for running the concession and a special thank you to the grade 4 to 6 staff for making this a fun day for our students.

Lunch Programs

The Hot Lunch program that usually runs from Tuesday to Friday has wrapped up leaving us with just the Fundraising Lunches.

So what does this mean?

It means that IF you have ordered through the online lunch ordering system, lunches will only be served to the students on Mondays and Thursdays through the months of May & June. Please ensure that your children have lunches each day of the week.

With this being said, don’t forget to place your final June lunch order by the end of Thursday May 11th.

For more information about the School Lunch Programs please go to the Lunch Programs tab of this blog or contact Jennifer at 780-983-1316 muirlakelunches@gmail.com.

You will need the unique Portrait ID & Access Code that can also be found in the envelope. Any unwanted sheets that you are NOT paying for are to be returned to the school office.

Orders & unwanted photo sheets are due in to the office by Tuesday May 9th.

Easter Bunny Spotted at Muir Lake School

Muir Lake students were visited by the Easter Bunny a few days early.

Representatives from 88.1 The One, Parkland’s local Radio Station came to visit the students and to hand out treats. The students were all quite excited to see him today.

Thank you to 88.1 The One for the visit.
