By making an effort to support LGBTQ children and youth, allies can play key roles in helping to stop harassment and discrimination against people of all genders and sexualities, thereby creating safe spaces where everyone can feel equal and free to be their authentic selves.

Please join us to learn how you can create safe and caring environments for LGBTQ children and youth in your families, schools and communities.

A light supper will be provided. Limited childcare is available.

Kinsmen Christmas Hampers

Again this year, our school is sponsoring families through the Kinsmen Club of Stony Plain Christmas Hamper program.  This is the 36th year that the Hamper Program has helped those that are less fortunate in Stony Plain and Parkland County.  Last year over 300 families (over 1200 people) were supplied with food, toys and gift cards for much needed necessities.

Each grade level in the school has been assigned a family.  It is our hope that we will be able to make Christmas a happier time for these families through our community’s generosity.

Suggested items to donate are non-perishable food items, such as canned goods, pasta, hot chocolate or hot cider mix, etc. or small gift items like children’s books or stuffed animals.

Items donated should not be wrapped and should be in to the school before Thursday, December 11th.

Kinsmen Families

Thank you for your part in making Christmas brighter for these families!
