Invisible hand

Invisible hand

Invisible hand is all about how the owner runs their business by increasing or decreasing their product’s prices catch the consumer’s attention.

Invisible hand works well with two businesses competing against each other to get their profits and their customers. But in order for one business to gain more profits then the other, which business has to have the quality that the consumers demand or the right price that the consumers willing to pay for their demand. It’s up to the consumers choices.

For example of the invisible hand would be, two gas station competing against each other by increase/decrease the price of their gas per liter to change the buyer’s mind and give the consumer special like “For every $0.50 per litter, you will get a free cup of coffee”

The “monopoly” comes in play when ONLY one business is in the area, and consumes need those demand on their basis. So they will pay for whatever the product cost. In this case the supplier can increase the price to whatever they wish because they know that they don’t have to compete with other business.

Election Speech

On this issue of a balance budget, Hal Tagg, the candidate for Wild Rose Party led by Danielle Smith is the best choice for the Stony Plain riding.

I believe that balancing the budget and saving is the top priority, I believe that it’s time to get serious about controlling our spending and saving money for Albertan’s future. Over the next 20 years, the Wild Rose Party can see Alberta’s heritage fund growing to about 200 billion dollars for our next generations to rely on. This is all achievable without raising taxes, personal or business, but through proper spending. I believe that they are the only party to eliminate the deficit, giving us a balance budget.

Every day, families make difficult spending decisions and save money for their future. This means, sometimes families have to wait for unnecessary items until they can afford them. These are some qualities that a responsible government needs to have.

The Progressive Conservative is weaker on this issue, because they have run a deficit for the past 3 years. They believe raising taxes to eliminate the deficit is the best solution. The New Democratic, The Evergreen and The Alberta Liberal parties believe that large businesses specifically oil companies should pay more taxes in order for the Alberta`s income to increase. This will slowdown the economy and will reduce the amount of job opportunities available.

Alberta is the richest province in Canada, so running a deficit is unacceptable, it is time to change for the better, vote for Wild Rose.

New Land

Dear Family,

Hello mother and father, I am doing well at this new place. Do not have to worry about me. It have been two years since I left you all to find a better future and I did, at first was a huge struggle for my partner and I to find food and shelter because all there is was land of grass, but we manage to work with grass and trade them for something else in a different community, now we are doing well, we have all the things we need it.

When the ship arrived at this new land, I saw hope, a good future and a safe place to be living in. The government assigned us to the land where everyone supposed to be living in, I thought that this would be a new start for me, I thought everybody on the ship supposed to be living together and build a community… then start from there on. I was wrong, when I heard my name called, I got so excited, and you can’t describe the feeling. I was told to live with these three unemployed people like me. I was nervous because I’ve never live with strangers, I got to know them better and found out that they came here the same season as me… a better future…

I didn’t know what to do when I saw where I’m supposed to live. The land wasn’t what I expected. The government gave us land that is ten kilometers by ten kilometers, which is pretty huge for the four of us, including me to be living in for the next two years. The land that was filled with different type of grass and wheat, and clean water stream river flowing through our land, it was a relieve for me. Theirs is a small amount of sad in the middle of the river, which my partners and I used to build shelter, furniture, pots and pan. At first I didn’t know what to do with the long grass… but thank goodness mother, you taught me how to weave, so I used my weaving skill to build us fishing nets to catch fishes. At one point my partner and I, we decided to trade our grass and fishes for a cow, spruce tree and apple tree, I thought it was a very good deal for us. If I have to describe the economic 2 years ago, it would be a mess. Everybody was confused; don’t know what to do at that point.

Today, we are living healthy and we do not have to struggle for food or shelter like 2 years ago, I thought I picked the right decision for me and my future, for now. If I have to look at our past I think we did a really enormous improvement on the land that was given to us. I have never thought we would be able to live with land full of grass and very little meat for us, I didn’t think we would’ve survive but we did.

Today Queen Marry Collen came to check on our progress on our land, then she made an announcement that she needs soldiers, food and weapons to go to war because the Tchikchikua and  was going to attack us… so many other pioneers offer her many different kind of weapons, food and many soldiers.

My group decided to offer her some wheat and a soldier, because we believe that it’s important to have many soldiers so that when the first nation and the Tchikchikua attack we will be prepared for the war.

I am not joining the war, because I don’t have the skills to become a soldier, but I will on my land serving wheat with my girl partner.

Love always,

New Thomas

Difference Maker

The Difference Maker

The difference maker are people not just people who make difference in the world, it’s much more than that. Difference Maker is someone doing the little things—sometimes the simple things—that allows their thoughts and believes showed in the society.

Bill Gates was born on October 28th, 1955. Bill Gates is a typical American business man… He is always standing among the world’s wealthiest people. He wants to make a contribution to the world by give all of his $58billion fortune to the charity. Today, Bill Gates has created a foundation that donated incredible amount of money to HIV/AIDS programs, research and disaster relief — and offered money to programs in health and education worldwide. Gates believes that his plan for giving will improve the disasters. Bill Gates discusses about the incredible lifesaving power of vaccines. Specific, Polio, which is 99 percent are within reach of being the second disease in the world … He believe that vaccine are a miracle, because giving children a drop of vaccine or a shot in the arm can prevent some of the worst childhood disease for a life time.

Jane Goodall was born in London on April 3rd 1934. She is a British primatologist, and UN Messenger of Peace… “When i was a young girl, everything i saw was new and exciting. This is when my dream began… i would grow up and goes to Africa and lives with animals and writes books about them… everybody would laugh at me”. When she was about 10 years old she always had a passion for animals. She believe that once people begin thinking and learning a bit about it, usually people make changes, and even though those changes may seem small, if you multiply one person’s small changes by a million and then a billion, that’s leading to the kind of change we need for a better world. The choice we make can help to make a difference… it’s just spend a little bit of time thinking about the consequences of the choices we make each day, like what we eat, what we wear, how we interact with people, animals, and the environment. “Must learn how to live not to just live together but to live with the natural world too” Jane Goodall reported.

Another difference maker is David Matas, he was born in Winnipeg on 1943. David’s a Jew that survived the holocaust during the World War 2… David Matas believe that the way people treated other people are not right no matter what their race are and he wants to make a difference. Ever since he wanted to make a change for how people treated human rights. He has maintained a private practice in refugee, immigration and human rights law since 1979. He’s involved in many organizations about human rights. The change he created wasn’t too big but has a lot of meaning. Because of David Matas passing on his knowledge to youth he tries to prevent an event like the holocaust from occurring

Mother Teresa was born in Skopje, Macedonia, on August 26, 1910. At the age of twelve, she felt strongly the call of God. She was amazed with stories of missionary life and service. She knew she had to be a missionary to spread the love of Christ. At the age of eighteen she left her parental home in Skopje and joined the Sisters of Loreto, an Irish community of nuns with missions in India. From the day of her First Holy Communion, a love for souls was within her. After a short course with the Medical Mission Sisters in Patna, Mother Teresa returned to Calcutta. On 21 December she went for the first time to the slums. She visited families, washed the pain of some children, cared for an old man lying sick on the road and nursed a woman dying of hunger and Tuberculosis. She started each day by communicate with Jesus and then went out, after some months, she was joined, one by one, by her former students. For over 45 years she gives all she got to the poor, sick, hungry, and dying. Today she now have a charity called The Missionaries of Charity, the charity have branches throughout the world including developed the world where they work with the homeless and people affected with AIDS.

One last important difference maker is Susan Algukark, she was Born on January 27th, 1967 in Manitoba. She was the first Inuk performer to achieve a top 40 hit in Canada and reward 3 Juno awards. All through her life she seeing people struggle through life. “Everyone only as good as they decide to be” she said.  Susan is known as the Artist with a conscience. Her songwriting, mostly inspired by her culture and her people the Inuit, is commonly spoken to many of the issues in Canadian Aboriginal People. Her speaking also addresses the social problems on support the people to move forward while focusing on confidence concern among aboriginal youth and works to bring back their confidence within themselves. She believe that human are human no matter if they are rich or poor or small or big.
