It’s wet out!

February16

Hi everyone!

With the warm weather – many, many puddles have formed. Please consider sending your children to school in rubber boots! Also an extra pair of socks and maybe even pants would be a good idea right now as well. Enjoy that beautiful weather!!

Happy New Year! As we start the new year and look forward here are some important dates for the upcoming months:

  • In-house Electricity presentation: January 25th, 1-2pm
  • Grade 5 Camp Meeting – Thursday, January 26th, 2017 at 5:00 pm in the Library Learning Commons
  • Telus World of Science – Feb 15th, all day (no hot lunch) Electric car, and chemistry.
  • Swimming March 23 – Swimming at the Tri
  • Camp – Nakamun June 20-22nd

Grade 5 Camp Meeting – Please try to attend as we will look at whether parents would like Gr. 5 camp this year. Traditionally, grade fives at  Muir Lake School have gone to an outdoor camp but it is reviewed every year to ensure that this idea is supported by our parents and students.

This meeting will focus on:

  • Expectations & Learning Outcomes
  • Responsibilities
  • Time
  • Location
  • Cost  – $170.00 (tentative)
  • The possibility of fundraising for some of the camp costs.

We think Grade Five Camp is great experience for students and we look forward to our meeting with you.
