Here is our newsletter we sent home to our parents telling them all about our Twelve Days of Fitness.
12 Days of Fitness
Twelve days of fitness is an activity outside at recess that we encourage your kids to do.
Everyday we add a new activity on our list. For example, last year was one lap around the schoolyard. Then, the next day we would sing an additional verse and the verse from the day before. As an example, it might be two chin ups, and one lap around the schoolyard!
This activity will keep your kids healthy and fit.
After each recess, if your child has completed these tasks, they get a hole punch in a card they have. At the end, if they have all twelve punches, their name goes into a draw. If their name is pulled out, they get a prize! Hard work needs a reward!
We will not force your child into doing these activities. They can choose whether or not they are going to do the twelve days of fitness. We highly encourage your kid to do these tasks though.
It is important to get plenty of exercise, especially as a growing child.
We’re on Day 3 so far and it’s been going great. Today’s activity: Santa Burpees! Follow along at @DuffKeep or #12DaysofFitness
