Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is starting up again soon. Collect your boxes and brochures from the school office as of October 15th. Please send the filled boxes (including postage and packing fee) back to your child’s classroom during the week beginning November 5th. The last collection day will November 9th. If you can’t get hold of a Samaritan’s Purse shoe box, please just fill one of your own.

Thank you so much for your help in bringing joy to impoverished children again this year!

  1. Thank you so much to everyone who donated an Operation Christmas Child shoe box this year. We collected 174 boxes. Awesome job everyone!

  2. Hi Tamara,
Yes I’ll speak to Mrs Badry and sort that out. Thank you for participating.

  3. perfect thanks….I can’t make it to the school..if possible, can you send a box/brochure home with Nicolas Burnley in Mrs. Badry’s kindergarten class on Mondays/wednesdays..he’s in school today, but field trip to Safety City.

  4. Hi there. You can pick up an empty shoe box and a brochure from the school office. The brochure has some helpful advice on suitable items you can buy to fill the box. You can, of course use your own shoe box if you want. I think it’s best not to wrap it as the shoe boxes are checked in Calgary before they head off to their various destinations. There is a voluntary postage and packing fee as well. The Muir Lake Community has done an amazing job over the last few years. We have always collected around 200 boxes or more each Christmas time.
The brochure is very helpful, but let me know if need more help.

  5. Yes please, are they wanting things that are generic? Or can we add toys, books for boys or girls, do they need to be wrapped or leave unwrapped. Thanks this is a great idea!!!

  6. For sure. Basically any families wishing to donate can send shoeboxes to the school. We then have all shoeboxes picked up and then operation Christmas child ensures they get into children’s hands for Christmas. Was there anything in particular that you were wondering?
