It was GREAT to see some new faces at last night’s School Council Meeting! Please know that you are always welcome at School Council and we look forward to seeing even more people come out and get involved.
Below is our admin presentatioin that was presented at School Council. We encourage you to check it out if you missed it.
One of the topics discussed last night was Student Absences.
Just to review the procedures …
If a student is absent, we expect the parents and /or guardians to notify the school.
If we are not notified of a student absence, we will make a phone call home. If we are unable to speak with a person, a voicemail message will be left for you. If you would prefer for us to call a cell number or an alternate number, or even a second number, please let us know in the office.
Another item of discussion was the monthly Mustang Newsletter.
We are working hard to keep parents and guardians informed and connected to all of the great things happening in our school. One of our goals is to transparently and meaningfully engage all of our stakeholders in our school community in a timely manner. In an effort to do so, information and news can be accessed via our Facebook Page, @muirlake Twitter account, #muirlake on Twitter, Website, and School Blog. We will continue to post the monthly Mustang Newsletter through these platforms but encourage you to subscribe, follow, and check-in with your method of choice regularly to receive information in a timely manner.
Please know that if you would prefer a hard copy of the Mustangs News, we are happy to provide you with one. Please click on this link, fill it out and return it to your child’s teacher by Wednesday, November 28th.
Thank you for your cooperation!
