Parkland School Division is proud to present another FREE information session for caregivers. Our December session will help parents learn how to recognize symptoms of anxiety disorder in their children and
teens. In addition, it will detail the steps parents can take to manage their children’s anxiety, and aid them in finding the resources they may need to improve their children’s mental health.

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health complaints in children and teens today. This session will help parents distinguish between normal anxiety, and anxiety that is no longer helpful or productive. It will aid caregivers in identifying signs that a child or adolescent is experiencing problems with anxiety. Parents will learn step-by-step strategies to assist their child or teen in managing their anxiety and improving their mental health. We will provide parents with helpful resources, and demonstrate tools and techniques designed to reduce anxiety.
