Enter the Kingdom of Books ~ October 6th to 9th 2014!
What better way to promote reading to our students than by supporting this important literary event. We invite your entire family to participate by purchasing the latest and greatest in children’s books. Your support of this vital literary event is key part of helping us obtain new books and resources for our library and classrooms.
Flyers went home with an info letter last week that contained a special Family Event Draw ballot that parents can deposit during our Family Event – extra ballots will also be available in the Collaboration Centre. You could win $50 in books – $25 for your family PLUS $25 for your child’s classroom!
Don’t forget to mark the Book Fair dates of October 6 – 9, 2014 on your calendar! We will be setting up in the Collaboration Centre (a.k.a. The Library) on October 6th in the morning and the Fair will continue until 1:00 p.m. Thursday the 9th at which time we will take down the displays. Many of you have volunteered for this event and we have appreciated you so very much. We need volunteers to help once again. If you can help students choose books, handle the cash desk, or supervise during class visits, please let us know. Anything you choose to do would be appreciated.
The book fair will run as follows:
- Set Up: Monday October 6th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Monday October 6th from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Tuesday October 7th from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Wednesday October 8th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Thursday October 9th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Take Down: Thursday October 9th at 12 p.m.
