Music Monday

Music MondayCelebrate music education on Music Monday!

Over the past ten years, it is estimated that 5.6 million students and music makers have participated in celebrating Music Monday across the country. Muir Lake school invites parents to come celebrate with us on on Monday, May 4th.  Our presentation will begin at 9 am in the gymnasium. We are pleased to be able to hear from our recorder club, the Muir Lake Fiddlers, the choir, and others. Come experience the power of music!

We LOVE Music @ MLS

Don’t you just LOVE five year olds! They are so excited, enthusiastic and engaged in their learning. I was privileged to hang out with our Kindergarten students this morning during their Music class. It was their first experience with xylophones … WOW!!

This afternoon … Speed Control ROCKED the house with their Rags to Rock Showcase, which demonstrated the evolution of rock music from 1898 to the present. A fun-filled school-wide concert – YEH!

A Melodious Celebration of the Christmas Season …

It was FANTASTIC to have our students participate in the Festival of Trees at the Heritage Pavilion in Stony Plain!

The Muir Lake School (MLS) 4-6 Choir and MLS Fiddlers delighted the audience with their performances.  As I sat and enjoyed the festive presentations, I scanned the audience and saw many smiling faces and proud parents.

Thank you for joining us to welcome the beautiful Christmas Season!
