Kinsmen Christmas Hamper Donations

Muir Lake Cares! And this has become very evident over the years.

Our school will be collecting donations once again and will be sponsoring families through the Kinsmen Club of Stony Plain Christmas Hamper program. For many years The Kinsmen Hamper Program has helped those that are less fortunate in Stony Plain and Parkland County. Last year over 500 families, that’s over 1700 residents, were supplied with food, toys and gift cards for much needed necessities. Each grade level in the school has been assigned a family (see below for details on the families). It is our hope that we will be able to make Christmas a happier time for these families through our community’s generosity. Please click THIS LINK to see a list of suggested items from the Kinsmen Club of Stony Plain. Items donated should NOT be wrapped and should be in to the school before Friday, December 8th.

We thank you for your continued support of our communities.

Christmas Concert

Mrs. Gottenbos has begun Christmas Concert preparations and wanted to give parents some advance warning regarding their costumes for that day.
The grade 4-6 Christmas Concert will be on Thursday, December 21.  The Theme is “Christmas at the OK Corral” and everyone is asked to please wear “old west, country” attire.  This would include things like jeans, plaid shirts, button up shirts, bonnets & aprons, long simple dresses, bandanas, cowboy hats, cowboy boots.  You do not need to have all those items, but consider which things you might have or could borrow to add to the evening.
Grade 5’s are asked to wear RED or PINK shirts.  Grade 4’s and 6’s can choose whatever colors they’d like.
Thank you in advance!
Any further questions can be directed to Mrs. Gottenbos at
